The mission

The mission

We believe every child should experience the joy of Christmas, no matter their circumstances. The mission of the Giving Tree is to bring the joy of Christ to children in foster care across East Tennessee by ensuring every child has gifts under the tree on Christmas morning. Rooted in the call of James 1:27 to “look after orphans and widows in their distress,” the Giving Tree is one way we seek to care for children in foster care and remind them that they are seen, they are valued, and they are loved.

How To Partner With Us

This Holiday Season, we are inviting individuals, families, small groups, and churches, to partner with us through the Giving Tree as we work together to provide Christmas gifts for every foster child across the East Tennessee Region.

sponsor a child
Fill out the form below and we will send you a child’s name and wish list. You'll then go and shop for them. Gifts should be returned, unwrapped, on December 7 or 8 so we can deliver them to DCS.

Join us on one of our workdays as we prepare hundreds of gifts for distribution across our region. Volunteers will help label, sort, bag, and load gifts onto trucks so they are ready to make their way to DCS.

Donate

There are always gaps to fill or additional needs that arise. Financial gifts allow our team to purchase remaining gifts and help ensure that no child is missed. Click below and select "Missions" to donate toward our efforts.

There’s no set amount! We ask that you purchase at least one item from the child’s wishlist and one clothing item, but beyond that, it’s completely up to you. Some sponsors purchase everything on the wishlist, and others choose a few special things. Whatever you’re able to give, our hope is that each child experiences the joy of being remembered and loved this Christmas.

All gifts will be dropped off at Christ Fellowship - 1907 Ebenezer Road. There are three designated drop off times:

 December 7 from 8:30 AM–12:30 PM

December 7 from 4:30–7:00 PM

December 8 from 8:30 AM–12:30 PM.

Sponsors must drop off their gifts during one of these designated times. If you are unable to make one of these times, please arrange for a friend or family member to drop off the gifts on your behalf. We are unable to accept gifts outside of these designated drop off windows.

No. Please return gifts unwrapped, but bagged together in one bag (trash bags are fine). Please ensure each bag is clearly labeled with the Child
